In 2020, Peugeot announces its return to the World Endurance Championship in the Hypercar category. The aim of the 9X8 Hybrid is simple: to emulate the achievements of the Peugeot 905 and 908. The housing of the BL-Endurance “Hyperblack” is cut directly from the brakes used in the development of the 9X8 Hybrid.

BACK FRONT CALIBER LOR-PR01 Made in the purest Swiss watchmaking tradition, our Swiss Made automatic movement is composed of 294 parts meticulously assembled by our craftsmen to form the heart of each BL-Endurance.

24 PIECES

From an idea born in the heart of the paddocks, Lorige has become a reality. The only question is: why didn't anyone think of that before? Indeed, what could be more authentic than wearing a genuine piece of motorsports history on the wrist?
Every Lorige case is, by its essence, truly one-of-a-kind. Machined from authentic endurance racing brake pads that have competed in the world’s most prestigious motorsports events, each of our cases carries the legacy of a unique track history in its curves. Every Lorige case is authenticated and comes with a certificate of origin retracing the pad history, from its racing roots to Lorige manufacture in Switzerland.
After 3 years of research & development, Lorige achieved a patented process of more than 30 hours to craft 2 cases from one brake pad. This patented expertise makes every Lorige case unparalleled and breaks with the conventions of traditional watchmaking by introducing an innovative material that was not originally intended for high-end watchmaking.
Top-level motorsports require precision, concentration, and experience. Coming from the world of competitive motor racing, the founders of Lorige wanted to infuse this energy into each of their watches—and what better place for watchmaking excellence than Switzerland. All the Lorige timepieces are Swiss Made, from Geneva to La-Chaux-de-Fonds.
Entrusted to specialized watchmaking craftsmen, only a handful of whom have mastered these specific skills, bead-blasting, polishing and satin-finishing (brushed appearance) are carried out by hand to enhance the curves of these exceptional timepieces. All the external parts are made out of Titanium Grade 5 and each bead-blasted surfaces are finished with a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating for enhanced durability and a distinctive appearance.
The exclusive LOR-PR01 calibre, developed and assembled in Geneva exclusively for Lorige, is the result of extensive craftsmanship, requiring numerous successive manual finishing operations before it comes to life. During assembly, each component is meticulously fitted by hand, bringing together technical precision and artisanal expertise to reveal the movement's final expression. Every wheel is individually strapped and rhodium-plated, while the mainplate and bridges are microblasted to achieve a refined matte finish. Hand-applied lacquer completes the movement, underscoring the meticulous attention devoted to every detail.
The refined craftsmanship of haute horlogerie meets the distinctive character of Carbon/Carbon in a dial of remarkable precision. Measuring just 0.6 mm in thickness, each dial is meticulously crafted, with every numeral individually applied by hand. Hand-polished hour markers, microblasted numerals, satin-finished hands, and the date window are all treated with a black NAC finish, lending the dial its understated monochromatic aesthetic while enhancing its technical sophistication.
